Today is Barktoberfest-a fundraiser for sick or injured animals at the shelter that would typically be euthanised whether they would otherwise be adoptable or not. Baloo was invited to do an agility demo, so we'll see how that goes. He's been a beast lately, his focus is poor, he's starting to mark anything and everything. He has an appt for his neuter surgery in a few weeks. Just can't wait any longer and I'm hoping it won't make any difference going ahead with it a few months earlier than planned. We've gone into overdrive with NILIF and it's helped somewhat. anyway, I'll let you all know how he does today!

Uh oh, he's hit the adolesence stage now huh? Well you keep up with the nilif training I'm sure it'll help a lot, the neutering is bound to help too.

Let us know how things go.

He actually did pretty good! There were somewhere around 200 dogs there, so he went into play mode sooner than I had hoped, but he managed to do a couple of rounds on the agility equipment before that happened. There was a trainer doing CGC testing, which I had him do again (he passed it 4 months ago) and he did well with that. He met so many new dogs, and especially liked an APBT that kept barking at him, initiating play. I think that dog was the one that actually flipped his switch, making him think he was at a romper room festival.
Someone was taking pictures, so hopefully those will show up on the website soon. I did find one from last year that I didn't even know was taken, but that was of Grizz-Bang. Didn't have Baloo then!
