Here in So Cal I gotta say that the weather is keeping us on our toes. This whole summer was ok, not too hot with the exception of a few days. Now in the ending of August we get some of the hottest days we've had all year! Not to mention that only last week we were enjoying 80-ish weather...well now its in the hundreds.lol.

Have you had trouble with the weather lately too?

I will admit, this weather is STRANGE...We only had 2 storms all summer...which is odd...and in winter we don't get storms because its to cold for thunder/lighting well we go from snow and hail on thanksgiving to 60 degree weather and last night out of blue....it starts pouring rain, Thundering, lighting. It was creepy!

We're expecting snow showers tonight. Frustrated It's below freezing right now so it could be all snow.

You're not only one who hates snow! Ahh, last 2 Christmases it was in 60-70's. I sure hope to have that again. I hate cold, I hate snow. I love the heat. I guess its my body...can't get warm in cold. No matter how many layers or how many blankets, I freeze. I can't seem to get warm at all, while in heat, If I just sit I can cool off and when you sweat you lose weight, so benefits then with cold.

Steven, you like cold because you're not use to it. lol I'd bet you wouldn't feel the same way if you spent a few years in negative's and inches of snow! I wouldn't mind a CA winter, My friend in FL said, it gets in 30's there but still has a tint of humid which makes it warmer then what people like me in the north call 30. She told me, a 30 degree day there would probably feel like 50 here.

Then again...maybe its just what were use to...After its been in negatives and it goes into 60's feels like a heatwave and feel like bringing out shorts, but if its been in 90's ...the 60's feel like a frost!

A couple of inches here in Indiana this morning but it's still snowing. How can anyone hate snow??
Something interesting....Lib, my high prey drive dog started sniffing around at the rabbit tracks this morning but was going in circles. Does the snow make scent tracking more difficult? But then she started looking...seeing the tracks and following. I'm positive that's what she was doing because she was discerning dog tracks and rabbit tracks, then following the smaller ones! I hope we get the 6 more inches they're talking about on Wed

Don't worry Ann, I agree with you, don't see how anyone can hate the snow.lol. I'm no expert in tracking but I would definitely think that snow makes tracking harder. Not only is there the possibility of the tracks be washed away but also since smells are determined by molecules and because molecules move slower during the cold, I'm guessing its harder to stir up or pinpoint a smell when its really cold. Someone correct me if I'm wrong study

We recieved about 2" overnight. They are calling for 6" to 10" today, tonight and tomorrow for a total of 12" ... Here's the part I do NOT like, 20-30 mph winds with gusts of 45 mph. Can you say BLIZZARD WARNING ... Frustrated

The reason i hate show is because 1) I hate snow removal. 2). I got suck in a ditch one morning b/c an idiot forced me off the road. Luckly I got some help before I ran out of gas (and heat). Since that day, I have always tried to say off the roads when this **** starts.

I DO enjoy playing in it with the dogs!!! Its fun to watch them run and play!!!

My Dad once told me that "The Stages of Life" were set by how well you liked show.

Stage One: Youngster
You can't wait for school to get out so you can play in it.

Stage Two: Teenager
It's a giant pain to have to clean off the car, scrape the windows and shovel to get your car out in the morning.

Step Three: Adult
You buy a house with a garage so you don't have to clean your car off in the morning.

Stage Four: Retired
You move to Florida, Texas or Arizona in the winter to get away from the snow.

LOL, but I do believe that texac was getting some snow!

No joke yesterday here in So cal we had storm warning, mudslide warnings, and wind warnings.... All you heard on the news is about mudslides because of how unstable the hills are around here because of the fires we had.

Today is a beautiful day...seriously you wouldn't even know it rained yesterday...except for the puddles.lol.

Here it is like CRAZY!!! Weather station issued today's high to only be 23....last night's rain turning into snow, making it all ice and then we wake up...BOOM! Today's high is 56 and we have TORNADO WARNINGS, one was spotted about an hour and a half away from where I live. This is crazy for this time of year in my area!

Snowzilla is my 44" Craftsman Snowblower. It has a 12 hp engine and a 44" wide auger. The opening in the front is 30" tall.

It looks like this one except my shoot is only about 1/2 as long!!!

Most ppl have smaller ones. We who have these "monsters" are very popular when we get large amounts b/c we can help clean out the end of the driveways!!!

Here's a normal sized one:

Here are the ones they use out in the country:

The big ones (like mine) are self-propeled with 5 speeds forward and 1 reverse, and yes they are fun. On the other hand, the smaller ones can be ALOT of work to push them thru the snow. Ive run a tractor once, they are a blast, but you have to watch closely or you can suck up a car!!! Grin
