Well our collie mix has this big punk bubble on her rear. I'm afraid it might be a tumor but my mom thinks its just a... I'm sorry I can't remember the word, anyways she thinks it's from her sitting for to long periods of time. So should I be worried and how do we get rid of it?

Is it soft or hard?

It could be a tumor, but it might just be a fat deposit (fatty tumor) or even just a calous.

I'd have a Vet look at it just to be safe!

If its from sitting on the floor too much it might be a callous like Mike said. But its hard to say because we don't know where exactly it is. Maybe if you could describe it a little more we can get a better idea. If you are really worried I would go to the vet also, I mean I'm sure they won't charge much for just checking it out, right?

Could you possibly take a pic of it so we can see?

Thank you everyone for your help, I'm trying to see if I have a picture of it.

Well it's about the size of a ping-pong ball and it's pink. It doesn't seem to bother her in any way, she's not limping or eating differently.

I'm not sure if this will help but she's on a chain most of the time (we do occasionally let her off) in an inclined area. We have a few trees around where she is so there's a few branches laying around and there's also a few rocks there too.

Thanks again.

It sounds like a callous, something they get from sitting on hard places....its just the size of it that bothers me... make sure she has something soft to sit/lay on. And even though it sounds like a callous its best you go see a vet, I don' think they would charge much just for looking at her.
