when I first got SammyJo (the lighter one) I wanted to try to figure out what she was mixed with, so I went thru tons of dog magazines. When I came across a pic of Shiloh Shep, I was floored. It could have been her twin...but the one in the pic was bigger. One of my friends who was a trainer, but showed dogs too kept telling me I should register her as a long hair Shep. I did not feel the need to have a paper telling me what she is, besides..we were not breeding her, so why should she need to be registered? lol I personally think she is Shep/Husky...her personality traits are Huskyish and she is a big talker and woo woo woo-er.
Bandit we are not so sure about. I have never though Shiloh for him..but now that you say that.. I can see it too. I have had people guess Rottie mix ((what??)) Im sure just because of his coloring. I have had people tell me they think he is Collie mix...Golden mix ((again, what??)) ...Shep mix...we dont know for sure. I personally think that there is some Husky or Mal in there as he is very thick boned..very thick dense undercoat..very stubborn..and very sweet. Aussie mix has also crossed my mind, because of his build.
We will never know for sure, and that does not bother me in the slightest. I love mix breeds and will always have them. The same as my sister loves her Goldens and will always have them
