There are some breeders that dedicate themselves to breeding two or three different breeds. What are your opinions on that, do you think good breeders should just stick with one breed, is two OK or too much?

Its ok, I agree with you. Its definitely better to stick maybe to one breed (two tops) because breeders really have to be EXPERTS on their breeds.

Yeah, i dont see why breeders would want to do many breeds...focusing on one or two would allow more dedication and time to be spent with that breed, only benefiting with more experience and knowledge

With all of the issues relating to any specific breed, I think that a responsible breeder would only want to stick with one breed to make sure that only the right dogs are bred. They more breeds you work with at once, the big chance you have of creating bred issues.

Thats definitely something to consider. Because besides having to concentrate on the breed history and temperament you also have to do a lot of research on individual dogs for good and not so good traits.

When you find your breed your know, your stomach will turn and you will have butterflies. When you see a picture of a beautiful standard of your breed or see one walking on the street sometimes you get overcome with emotion. I don't believe you can find more than one, maybe two breeds that you truely fall in love with. The more you love your breed and your pups the fewer pups you will have.
